Phuket Fun Fly is a paragliding competition event promoting paragliding in Phuket and as preparation for the Asian Beach Games to be held November of 2014. Paragliding will be one of the competitive sports in the games. The paragliders will return to the skies above Nai Harn Beach and Phromthep Cape from June 23 until the 26.
Canon is inviting photographers to participate in the paragliding photo contest. It is branded as the Canon Photo Contest 2011 and Phuket Photo PRO is going to be there!
The event activities will be held 8 am to 6 pm each day. There will be spot landing and fun fly competitions as well as beach activities on Nai Harn Beach.
“Last year it was 52 participants in paragliding competition. At present moment, 40 paragliders have confirmed they will take part this year. I expect about 60 paragliders in total will join the event in June,” said Dr Prasert Theplaong, president of Phuket Paragliding Club.
Everybody who wish to be taken for a “tandem ride” can register at a booth set up at Nai Harn Beach. The cost is 800 baht per flight.
